I think it’s really important for people to change their perspective on how they want to respond to anger and fear—that a vengeful attitude will only worsen the situation.

I think it’s really cool how little things like this can make someone laugh and it’s so easy to relate to. A situation that seems so much more serious to one person (James Franco) can be so funny to bystanders just watching!

It seems that so many people are always trying to fit in to “social normality” nowadays, and I think they lose sight of their own unique qualities and “strangeness” that really make the world so much more spectacular and whimsical when they embrace it.

The great moments of your life won’t necessarily be the things you do, they’ll also be the things that happen to you. Now, I’m not saying you can’t take action to affect the outcome of your life, you have to take action, and you will. But never forget that on any day, you can step out the front…
I see so many people around me placing so much emphasis on what they do and the outcomes of it, and if things don’t turn out the way that they planned it seems as if their whole world came crashing down. I see this kind of stress taking over so many of my friends’ lives. In my opinion, I think that sometimes you have to have a little faith in what life has planned out for you, and that sometimes, if something goes wrong… it’s not the end of the world. That quite possibly, it’s opening up other doors of opportunity for you that you didn’t even consider in the first place.

This picture speaks a lot to me. Growing up, sleeping by myself in my own bedroom, I remember being really fearful of the unknown and things that I couldn’t see in the dark. Even today, I still get scared sometimes. It’s interesting to see how a stuffed animal, or a “blankey”, or anything that provides some sort of comfort can make all the difference in your sense of security. Just to have something familiar to hold on to…

I think it’s really important for people to live genuinely, passionately, and sincerely. To stay true to themselves and what they believe in, but not living for other motives—pleasing others, presenting yourself in a way that is not truly you to fit in, etc.

This kind of relates to my other picture of the child sleeping with the stuffed animal. I think that almost everyone (not only humans) is always looking for some sort of comfort—either it be in companionship or just a sense of security. Also this picture is super cute!

This quote meant a lot to me the first time I heard it. If you’ve ever had your heart broken, you know the feeling of hopelessness and just find yourself lost—not knowing where to go, not knowing how to pick yourself up and get your life going again. But it’s important to have faith that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and to utilize your close friends and relationships around you to regain strength to move on with your life and to piece your life back together. I really believe that if you allow yourself to feel the hurt completely will you truly recognize how much strength it will take to pull yourself out of it!

lesson learned.
After someone hurts me, my first instinct is always to hold onto that anger and push to blame onto other people. Because when you have others to blame, it makes it a lot easier to handle. But what I realized after some time is that in doing so, I became consistently frustrated and always angry. It’s hard to forgive someone who hurt you, but what I’ve learned is that you kind of owe it to yourself. Accept what has happened, try to forgive, and move on from the situation with new knowledge and experience.

I always manage to forget and overlook some of the little things that happen in my life. But when I saw this, I really just sat and thought about all the happy, and silly, little things that happen and it really made me appreciate everything so much more. And through appreciating things more, I was just happier overall.
